We were established in 2010 by Diane Troxell of Oxford, NY. We are a 501c3 organization dedicated to helping animals by providing spaying and neutering assistance to pets and homeless dogs and cats from Chenango, Delaware and Otsego counties. We also help with emergency veterinarian services for dogs and cats.
We have a PET FOOD BANK for needy pets. There are no income limitations, just call first to see what is available at our building.
As of 2020, we have been fortunate enough to work with ANIMAL CARE SANCTUARY in East Smithfield, PA. They provide a very reasonable price for spaying and neutering cats and pick up and drop off is provided by ACS on the same day at our 65 North Washington Avenue, Oxford location. In 2020, even with 2.5 months of no clinics due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we helped 496 cats get fixed at ACS. These cats were owned or feral.. Our bottle shed is now located at the Delaware Valley Humane Society 17420 County Hwy 23 Sidney NY. We have a new building at 65 North Washington Avenue, Oxford which stores our pet food, cat carriers, dog crates and traps. It is also our drop off and pick up for our cat clinics with Animal Care Sanctuary. Since 2022 we have helped spay and neuter over 1000 cats per year, mostly through ACS. We also have been able to transport dogs to Delhi College for spays/neuters and they are fixed as part of the college's vet tech program, usually 30 a year. In April 2024 we began very affordable spays/neuters of mostly dogs with SPAY NEUTER SAVE NETWORK in Rome PA. Luckily, SNSN
is able to spay/neuter up to 20 dogs for us per month. This alone costs us at an average of $100 per dog or $2,000 per month. We continue to help feral cats throughout the three counties with TNR.
Thanks to the FRANCES J. & ELIZABETH BRISSON MACKSEY CHARITABLE TRUST FUND and the DOROTHY M. & FRED HAMILTON FOUNDATION we have been able to SPAY/NEUTER THOUSANDS OF DOGS AND CATS. We couldn't do what we do without the help from Richard Runyon, and Jessica Thompson, Trustees of the Sterling Higley Foundation.
The Krista L. Bartle "4 Paws Friends Fund" was established in 2012 by her family in her loving memory. Krista, a true animal lover, died unexpectedly in October of 2011.
WE ARE A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS AT ALL ANIMALS MATTER and WE SOMETIMES WORK WITH OTHER LOCAL AGENCIES TO HELP END THE PET POPULATION BY SPAYING AND NEUTERING DOGS AND CATS.
WE ARE NOT A RESCUE! WE DO SEEK VOLUNTEERS. PLEASE CONTACT DIANE TROXELL IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING AT ONE OF OUR EVENTS.
